Zahra Fallah

About
Ms. Fallah graduated cum laude from Rutgers University – New Brunswick in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a minor in Political Science. Recognized for her academic excellence, she was named on the Dean’s List from 2019 to 2022. Beyond her coursework, she actively engaged in extracurricular activities that bridged her interests in science and social sciences. She served as a student mentor at Douglass Women’s College and later as an ambassador for the Human Rights House. Additionally, she was the Director of Research & Development for the Rutgers chapter of Enactus (2022–2023), where she spearheaded five entrepreneurial initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In this role, she also led a research and cultural exchange trip to Senegal, conducting a field study on the scientific and social impacts of Schistosomiasis on local communities.
Her interest in law emerged during her hands-on experience with research animals at the Rutgers farms, where she began questioning the legal standing of animals within the U.S. legal system and the broader implications of their rights in relation to human-animal dynamics and public health crises like COVID-19. This passion for the intersection of law and science led her to intern at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) as a Legislative Intern in 2022. That same year, she also gained judicial experience as a Court Extern in the chambers of the Hon. Andrea Masley at the New York County Supreme Court.
Ms. Fallah is committed to advancing her legal career and plans to pursue a law degree in the near future. As a paralegal at Phillips & Associates, she takes pride in assisting clients through various stages of litigation, bringing a diverse skill set and analytical approach to her work. Fluent in Persian and a certified yoga instructor, she brings a well-rounded perspective to her professional and personal endeavors.
