Mr. Zugaro received his Juris Doctor from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in White Plains, New York. He graduated cum laude and received many honors and recognitions. He served as senior editor of Pace Law Review and was on the Dean’s list.
Prior to joining Phillips & Associates, Mr. Zugaro became an experienced and skillful trial lawyer while working as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office from 2015 – 2019. He tried numerous cases to verdict; he handled both jury and non-jury trials and prosecuted more than 350 cases from inception through grand jury presentation, motion practice, hearings, trial and disposition and presented felony cases to Grand Juries for indictment.
Thereafter, Mr. Zugaro served as an associate attorney with the insurance fraud practice group of a New York law firm. In this role, Mr. Zugaro investigated and prosecuted many medical providers on behalf of major global insurance companies.
