New York City also prohibits discrimination against employees because of caregiving responsibilities for children or other family or household members, because of prior periods of unemployment, because of gender identity or gender expression, and many other factors.

The publication recently released its “2019 Legal Elite Awards” issue, which recognizes law firms from around the country in general areas like “Best Full-service Law Firm” and “Best General Legal Advisory Firm,” and in specific areas like “Best Employment Litigation Practice” and “Best Boutique Business Litigation Firm.” It recognizes Phillips & Associates as the “Best Employment Discrimination Attorney.”
